Peanut Butter Toast Crunch review
Peanut butter and cereal. Two of my most favourite things and this version stems from one of the nicest cereals - Cinnamon toast crunch. However, there are lots of mixed reviews about it.From what Iv'e read online the majority of people despise the stuff! But then I would find a positive among the swarms of negative and when people like this cereal they absolutely love it, and the praise was enough to convince me to buy a box.I must admit tough, they were at a reduced price as they are a few weeks out of date, but I was hoping this wouldn't have an effect.
Opening the packet you are met with a very peanut buttery smell- it's good, but there's also an artificial smell lurking in the background, a bit like plastic, and it made me nervous. The squares were also quite orange, also not a great sign. So many people claimed these tasted horrible and artificial but I desperately wanted them to be good so I remained hopeful.I tried a square dry, there was a slight peanut taste, not as strong as I would like but this was only one square.
So I added the milk and got a good amount on my spoon. I love them. They're amazing. I'm in peanut butter crunch heaven. The first thing I thought of was that they taste like the inside of a Butterfinger but without the chocolate. The peanut butter flavour comes together great with the milk and is very, very moreish. The texture, as expected is perfect and their coating stays on for a good amount of time.
Orange speckles are left in the milk like a beautiful peanut butter cereal galaxy. The outcome of this being peanut flavoured milk. This might not sound nice but it is and could be a drink in its own right.
Ignore the bad reviews! They must want all the cereal for themselves-it's the only explanation.
Overall
Texture-5/5
Taste- 4.5/5
Sog Factor- 2.5/5
Last comments- Why isn't peanut butter milk a big thing? It should be right?

Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal review
Cinnamon Toast crunch. One of Americas's favourite breakfast cereals. I couldn't believe my luck when I saw these single serving pots in Poundland! The cereal gods were with me and I grabbed a pot along with the US version of Froot Loops- the proper version with all the colours and bad stuff. These pots were a pound each ( surprising huh?) and they also had a frosted wheat version, but that bored me haha.
In the UK we have Curiously cinnamon , which is exactly the same without the claim of any toast. Iv'e recently come to love curiously cinnamon and I myself was a curious cinnawoman as to how they would compare. The US version has more sugar , so I was anticipating a nicer cereal .Obvs.
Well it looks the same. I followed common cereal tasting practice and tried a bit dry. Great texture, great cinnamon flavour and a unique toasty taste which was nicely different. When milk was added and I scooped a big spoon it got even better. The crunchiness was perfect and the toasty flavour mixed with the cinnamon was great. However, in all honestly they weren't much different from the UK'S own and I think I actually prefer curiously cinnamon. One thing that is the same is their ability to stay crunchy in milk. Unfortunately , they are quick to sog but the flavour is still reeeaaaaal good!
Overall
Texture- 5/5
Taste-4.5/5
Sog factor- 2.5/5
Last Comment- Pairs well with an episode of workaholics.Love that show.

The Cereal Killer Cafe
I knew I would love this place as soon as I heard of it's opening. How could you not!?
The cereal killer cafe is a unique eatery in London,Brick Lane , offering a wide selection of cereal from all over the world. I have been twice so far and I can safely say it's my favourite cafe in the world!
Upon entering the cafe you are transported into a world of cereal memorabilia and happiness. There is a happy, relaxed atmosphere and they even have a lava lamp!On the right wall , you will find the menu , displaying the cereals, milk, baked goods and pop tarts. On my first visit I went for the classic Reese's puffs and a "cereal cocktail" called the double rainbow. Both of course were delicious and poured by some very friendly staff. My second time round I went for something different- pictured below.
On their Instagram I saw they had a new cereal imported from Spain called Arluy minis Simpsons (pictured right) , described as eating little chocolate biscuits- sold! I can confirm that this was true. There was a nice cocoa flavour unique to any cereal I've had and they had a nice crunch. The only negative being that they are quick to go soggy and sog factor is very important.

Introduction
Hey !
I'm Grain lady - self titled to be fair .I love cereal and am on a mission to become all knowledgeable .This will probably be done by inhaling copious amounts of cereal but only for research purposes of course .I would also like to get better at writing as I one day hope to have a career in media. So I thought I would combine the two interests and create a blog !
On this blog you will find all things cereal and maybe even something more if I'm feeling adventurous!
I've loved cereal since I was little and find it quite embarrassing about how serious I am about it and feel this blog is long overdue. So after my second visit to the cereal killer cafe , the inspiration was enough to finally persuade me to do it. And so the grain lady was born!
You probably don't care.Follow for cereal.
